Desmond is one of the founding fathers of aerial platform rentals in Asia. He created Galmon in Singapore in 1982 and 42 years later he is still leading the business.

The company operates a fleet 3,500 machines in Singapore and is one of the largest 50 access rental fleets in the world, as measured by Access International’s Access50 listing.

As a pioneer, Desmond has seen how the access rental market – and the products – have evolved over many decades and is uniquely placed to talk about leading and managing a growing rental business.

Galmon has attained ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and bizSAFE Partner status, and received the Singapore Prestige Brand Award in 2011.

Its training arm, Galmon Academy, is an accredited training provider for MEWPs under the Singapore Ministry of Manpower and the only PASMA-approved training centre in Singapore.
