Hou Zekuan graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Over the years he has held senior management positions in both state-owned and foreign enterprises, all within the forklift industry.

In 2007, Mr Hou founded Folangsi and has since served as its chairman, leading the company through continuous innovation and development. Headquartered in Panyu District, Guangzhou, Folangsi is a publicly listed company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and a high-tech enterprise.

The company focuses on equipment such as forklifts and offers a one-stop service that includes equipment rental, maintenance and repair, and the sale of equipment and parts to meet customer needs. After more than a decade of growth, Folangsi has secured the top position in China’s forklift rental market and ranks fifth globally.

It has over 100 directly managed service centres nationwide, employs more than 2,000 people, and manages a fleet of nearly 60,000 forklifts and other equipment.

With a mission to “enhance asset utilization efficiency and conserve social resources,” Folangsi leverages IoT, cloud computing and other technologies, alongside its nationwide service network and three remanufacturing bases. The company has successfully implemented an “online + offline” business model tailored for B2B customers, optimising asset supply, allocation, and full life-cycle management.
